WHAT SHOULD I PAY ATTENTION TO WHEN BUYING AND USING CONSUMABLES?
Consumables directly affect the print quality and lifespan of your printers. When purchasing ink, it’s important to pay attention to the expiration date, brand, and quality of the ink. You should avoid choosing inks from brands you’ve never heard of just because they are cheaper than others; this could lead to higher expenses in the long run. Always shake the inks well before adding them to your printer, as they can settle at the bottom of the bottle, especially after sitting on shelves for a while. This is particularly important for white inks.
For DTF (Direct-to-Film) films, some films can be too thin, causing issues in the printer or the powdery layer on the film can be too sparse, making it difficult for the print to separate from the transfer paper, and sometimes it may not separate at all. DTF powder plays a significant role in determining the adhesiveness and durability of the print. If the powder is of poor quality, the print may peel off and crack. DTF powder can be easily affected by surrounding dust and hair, so it should be stored in sealed packages to prevent exposure to air.
